Sh*t Rim Or Bad Pads?

Gave my rim (Onza Zoot 24) a grind on Friday,

After the grind, i swapped my pads round, but the back brake felt stupidly flexy so i swapped them back.

Then the rear pads (TNN Belaeys) wouldn't work at all.

Ground the rim again and they worked better but very average still. It was a very harsh grind.

Went out in the rain yesterday and the rim got a little muddy, but it was only from dirt washing from the tyres and very thin watery mud at that.

Checked this morning, and my rim is completely smooth and the brake was insanely bad.

The grind has completely worn down in 1 ride, Is it to do with the conditions or do i just have a sh*tty rim? I'm getting fed up of having to grind my rims 1-2 times a week just to ride for 2 days at the most, are there any solutions?
