Luke_zoo
I went out on it one weekend, wasnt runing to good 'had crap in carb' Cleened it out, went to go out it day after, started it up, didnt realize how much fuel I had left in it, so it started then cut out 3minets later... My mate says ive droped a piston ring? how can it do that?
Muel
Put more petrol in. I presume by "dropping a ring" he actually means a ring has shattered? It's as close to impossible as it's possible to be. Just stick more petrol in and make it go.
kevind
If it had dropped a ring you would hear horrible scrappy noises when you kicked her over and would have no compression. It sounds like she ran on a bowl full of fuel then cut out. Make sure there is fuel in the carb.
Luke_zoo
Yeah I thought there was enuf fuel in just to kik it off but there wasnt in the end, then put fuel in, never ran after it
Si-man
Check your jets no blocked again and check that your float bowl has actually filled up. Sometimes they don't
trialsmax04
Check you have replaced the floats in the bowl in the correct position. Its easy to put them in upside down meaning no fuel can flow into the bowl. And re-clean the jets. Running it low on fuel may have caused crap to get in from the bottom of the tank.
