Theo
Hi, I'm trying to get my crank onto the bottom bracket, I think the locktite I have previously used is making it hard for me to put it on. I have tried scraping all the dried locktite off but it still wont budge any more than half way, Also If I get it on with force, I'm scared I wont get in off again.. any suggestions? Thanks
Mark W
Grease is your friend. A lot of the time new cranks/BBs will be tight and the cranks won't fully go onto the spindle. In terms of getting them off, if you've got a crank extractor you should be able to get them off even if they go on super tight. I've had to use a rubber mallet to tap mine further onto the splines before so my crank bolt could reach the threads comfortably.
Theo
Cheers mark, the grease worked a treat. I'll worry about removing them when I have to haha
