Muel
Try it man! Just have a play during the building stage. I took my rear brake off to put it on some mod or other, so decided to whip the front off as well and have a play, found I loved it. So much fun, but really restrictive at the same time. Breathed another couple of months into my riding career anyway. Wheels look immense, nicely done. Edited March 29, 2011 by Muel

JD™
Well my seatpost doesn't fit, and I lot a bolt for my brake clamps, but she's getting there. Got here in a week so I hadn't built the back wheel or painted the forks... It's been a hectic day lol f**k me it feels good, even brakeless. I'd like to be self congratulatory and say it looks f**king good too

Fish-Finger-er
smart like a fox that one. I seriously love it, need some old school curved blade forks on there though to complete the look.

Yeah whap some pashleys on it! + Have you tried tilting your bars a bit more forward, might make it ride a bit nicer Looks really good! Luke Rainbird
f**king RAD! Looks mega dude, nicely done. Stick with the brakeless, don't kill the sidewalls yet
JD™
Cheers for the comments people In summary, straight blade forks are win, bars back are also win, and as much as I'd love to be good enough to ride brakeless, I'm just allll about brakes. I just can't wait to get a thinner pivotal seatpost so I can whack the saddle on to finish it off. Really happy with how it's turned out, and can't wait to ride it proper. Annoyingly I'm away for the next 2 weekends so can't ride it properly until the weekend after Wasn't even expecting it for another 2 weeks... Luke Rainbird
You'll be needing a 25.4mm post sir. What size is the Gusset? Silly boy should probably have checked first really

JD™
You'll be needing a 25.4mm post sir. What size is the Gusset? Silly boy should probably have checked first really I asked Marino what the internal diameter was and he clearly gave me the external. Think it's 27.1 or something. Hopefully tarty will have it back, although it's no biggy for a tenner. I stupidly chucked away the main packaging, so its more likely a sell job. Luke Rainbird
Ah fair shout. If you get stuck I've got a used unbranded 25.4 jobby knocking about somewhere

JD™
Ah fair shout. If you get stuck I've got a used unbranded 25.4 jobby knocking about somewhere I'd definitely be interested in thinking about it - I'll be trying to pick something up over the weekend anyway, but gimme a shout with a price and I'll definitely look into it. Cheers how much was your paint job God knows. The frame was sprayed by Marino so included in the price. I think I managed to get the rest done with about £25 worth of paint, and plenty of wet and dry paper. Oh, and plenty of time! So gutted I can't actually ride it till next week (unless I can dive out of this place today to get some bolts and have a half hour play before I go off to Lincoln). Matthew62
Looks beautiful. However common man your jockey wheel clashes with your frame and hubs..... It looks a really nice job though and you are 100% on the money with correct that little whipper snapper with the appalling suggestions for your bike. Straight blade is the only way to live and the angle on those bars is nothing short of art. Angling forward....what the hell - that t'aint to TGS machine! Looking forward to seeing it soon. Cheers Matt. You're absolutely right about that tensioner, it's an annoyance anyway because I can't take a link out because the tensioner won't reach round the dropout enough. Spoke tensioner of win is definitely on it's way but this'll do for now. I'll be up London to ride with you either next Saturday or the one after if you're about? Matthew62
Awesome! Sounds good to me. Like an old f**ker i've dodged my back up but should be healed in time for a coming ride. We should go in search of some new spots and i've got some other new places to try that we've not doner before. Now feel those horrible stresses of the Dr. Jekyll slowly drifting away...... Is there room to take a link out and have the tensioner pushing up instead? Will try and work out what size post I'll be needing on my new frame but if it's anything but 25.4mm then you can have it for a couple of pints

JD™
A link out means the tensioner won't line up with the holes when pushing up or down, which sucks. I'm glad people are liking it as much as I do, it's turned out nearly as good as I'd hoped
