Hey people.

Im seriously considering moving university now. Im currently doing a foundation/prep year in engineering covering the funsamentals of maths, eng principles, materials science, design and tech.

So my point would be changing to huddersfield university to study Automotive Technology which is much more hands on then the cours i intend to do at Sheffield hallam. I did have this option but at the time i said i would be carrying on at sheff. Ive emailed huddersfield university and waiting in a reply. Just wondered if anyone had done this before on here and can pffer advice on where to start with regarding the awful ucas system.

Thanks. Dan

From the sounds of it you're looking to finish this year then move yeah?

Best bet would be to get hold of a contact email address for Huddersfield's admissions department and they should be able to put you in touch with anyone else you'd need to talk to. Explain your situation, ask if there's a certain way they'd like you to go about things, and take it from there.

Provided you meet their entry requirements you shouldn't have any real issues making the switch (Y)

I'm not that dense. I would have understood that but the picture didn't show up on my phone hense the huh? haha

Anyway. I have a reply...

Dear Dan

Thank you for your email below.

We would consider an application for one of our Engineering degree programmes from someone who was studying an appropriate foundation course at another institution.

All formal applications should be made through UCAS, and applications can be made online via the UCAS website www.ucas.com.

I hope this information is helpful.

Yours sincerely

So i'm gonna have to fill out EVERYTHING from ucas again :/ f**ks sake!

I changed uni (for an entirely different course) and it was really easy :) i contacted the new uni, they gave me an interview and accepted me. I then had to apply through ucas (for reasons unknown to me, didnt really make sense seeing as they had accepted me) and they immediately took me on board from then on.
