ForrestDump
Hello everyone. I ride a Mod (ZOO! Lynx long) and due to being a very tall rider I need to have the bars at a high, but comfortable height. I've found that the easiest way to achieve this height is to use a bundle of stem stackers, around 45-50mm (I know that is a lot). Although I could replace the stem I have with a new one that is longer with a higher rise my current stem is still rather new and in very good condition. I am very happy with the set up that I am currently running, but would like to know if there is anything wrong with using a lot of stem stackers and if it can result in any problems with the bike. Many thanks, James.
isitafox
No you won't do it any damage riding with a load of stackers, all down to personal preferance really. However, I used to have 70mm worth of stackers on my python under a trialtech stem and some zoo riser bars but found it much nicer to swap the bars for some higher rise TryAll Rage bars and knock 35mm of stackers off though it's a bit of a trial and error thing, what stem and bar combo have you got on it?? ForrestDump
Awesome, that’s glad to hear; 70mm, I thought I used a lot of stacker’s haha. I'm currently using a Try-All 3D forged stem with V!Z pro 720's which I've really come to like the feel of, I have done a bit of research and by changing my bars higher rise ones and a different stem I could achieve the same height without all the stackers, however that does mean splashing out some cash which I don’t want to do just for the sake of loosing some stackers. Many thanks for the reply.

Oh yes, check it out here before I swapped the bars http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/154187-my-07-python/page__p__2191967__hl__python__fromsearch__1#entry2191967

Most of the ones I’ve seen only have the single spacer under the stem, but that’s probably down to most tall riders having a stock instead of a mod. Lovely looking bike too.
