F.N.G
What is the diffrence between a HS11 brake to a HS33 brake? Tom
isitafox
The colours they come in, the hs33 has slightly more contoured covers and the 11's have 4 finger levers whereas the 33's have 2 fingers. And thats it!

Bigman
I am assuming that you mean the new style HS33 - HS11 and previous versions have been very different! As for the new ones they are basicaly the same, but as said above the colours and the caps that go onto the bodies are different, as for the leve rblade thing, both the HS33 and HS11 are available with 2 and 4 finger blades as far as I am aware, although I think Tarty only have the HS11 with 4 finger and the HS33 with 2 finger at the moment. Realy unless you are a name whore who wants to have HS33 writen on thier brake there is absolutely no reason to go for a HS33 over a HS11. Mark W
You can't actually buy the HS11 from Magura with anything other than the 4-finger blade on. The HS33 is available from them in 2 or 4 finger blades, but we don't stock the 4-finger blade as there's not really any point when the HS11's so much cheaper. Out of the two, because of the HS11 having the long blade giving it more power it can result in a slightly spongier brake if you've got a flexier frame/no booster. Because of that, if you prefer a stiffer feeling brake I'd recommend the HS33. Ali put one on a week or so ago and it does feel really good. Ali also took a file to his and reshaped it a little:
Greetings
Is there any point in going for a 2 finger blade? From my experience with the older HS33 brakes, the 2 finger blades were awful because they didn't allow for much travel whereas the 4 finger blades were almost as good as the Echo replacements. AdamR28
Seems that the 'new' 2 finger brakes are more powerful than the old ones. As for the lever travel, that's personal preference I guess, but on the 05 model I much prefer the 4-finger blade, and on the new model I prefer the shape of the lever travel on the 2-finger blade . isitafox
I've got the 11's and find them a lot better than my 05 HS33's with 2 or 4 finger blades. Though having not used a new HS33 I can't really comment on how they feel. Edited February 22, 2011 by isitafox

The new blades/levers feel totally different to the old ones, so I wouldn't let the feel of the old ones put you off. I didn't really like the feel of the 2-finger blades at all (and neither did Ali, hence him buying himself a new 2011 HS33), but the new style ones are quite nice. Very V-brakey.
