Gaz96
As the title says I was wandering if the use of rim brakes will rub off the paint on my rim, im not actually riding it yet so I cant ell for myself... Would be preffer to run a smooth rim but if the colour will rub off then I think I will just grind it for appearance and the extra power

George6512
Yes it will rub off but with smooth rims the brakes tend to slip alot more often,My rim had a old grind it slipped alot now its got a fresh grind it makes the brakes alot sharper,if you grind your rim use a angle grinder not a bench grinder, thats just a link if you are going to grind and if you dont know how.
