Dan6061
Was out riding today. Wanted to do a little gap, to up to front. As I landed the gap, BOOM! Bike goes tumbling down, and I'm stood there with the bars in my hands like Anyway, where they snapped is in an odd place! Right where the stem clamps on. They didn't creak or anything before, so I wasn't expecting it at all! By the looks of the metal, they'd been cracked there for quite some time, which is still weird to me! It's not important, but I'm just curious. - Anyone snapped their forks here before?
Sponge
It used to be the common failure point for the older Echo Team (04) forks where people'd snap the alu steerer which prompted Deng to release those super thick steerer'd forks from 05/06 onwards 'til recently. As far as modern forks go, it's not something I've seen in a long time! What forks are those by the way?
Dan6061
They're old Echo Easy forks. - Before they changed the name to Lite! I think they're from around 2005/6. I've had them since new. Done me well!
Alex Dark
A mate of mine snapped my Echo Lites in exactly the same place

Pepo09
That can't be fixed? could you sand the broken part and use it? or the frame wont fit? or use some spacers?
