dann2707 Posted February 19, 2011 Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) that's a mk1 then, you may need to reset the central locking module, it's located in the drivers footwell, on the door side, think it's a white box with two connectors, wait for around half an hour and plug it back in. Also, change the batteries in the fob if not already done. Lube up the door locks by squirting WD40 in the locks too. get rid of the dirt that may be causing a faulty connection. Fish-Finger-er Posted February 20, 2011 Report Share Posted February 20, 2011 sorry to rock up to the party late, but we ran a fair few focaye(granted i only got to work on the later mark ones), never had to do that with the module, only thing i came across on a couple of them, is where the wiring goes through into the boot lid, (top centre of the boot shut) when i removed the outer sheath, the cables inside had been crushed/worn through the outer sheathing, one of them may be cut clean in 2, or earthing out on the boot lid.
