CriminalTrials.co.uk
Hi all Basically i have an old Koxx LB frame and have used a standard 22t Middleburn bash and crank setup for years, however after moving to a Heatsink bash with 18t chainring, after tightning the crank bolt pushing the crankset onto the bb fully, it rubs on the outer ring of the Bottom Bracket. See Below: Im not sure what BB i have but it is like my frame pretty old. Here is a close up of the BB axel and the crankset itself: Im guessing its the BB at fault but what width would i need for this setup to work? Thanks in advance guys! Luke Rainbird
A longer BB will sort it out for you (the shell width will be the same, which is the bit that fits the frame and is most often 68mm) A 128mm axle will cover almost every setup
AdamR28
Longer BB needed, that one looks like a 113 or 118, you'll need 122.5 or 127.
Muel
Just get a 128mm bb, sorted. Although I preferred to run the shortest BB possible when I rode, because my feet were closer together. Dunno why, just felt more comfortable.
