isitafox Posted February 18, 2011 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011 Wide back wheel is better for things like preventing pinch flats, plus if you use a narrow rim on a modern trials frame and are running rim brakes it makes it harder to set them up as it's highly likely the pads might not even touch the rim face.
