isitafox
I'm having a few problems with the back end of my because, as I've decided to squeeze a der kaiser in the dropouts (not an easy job) I really need to be able to get the wheel lined up perfect but I can't get my cams to work well enough. I currently have monty toothed cams fitted but the biggest adjustment is just slightly too small and the only bigger toothed cams are Try Alls which have been replaced now so I'm stuck with either buying some smooth cams and grinding some teeth in or going for some chain tugs. I've had some of the gusset ones when they came with an old frame but I never used them as I didn't like the look but the trialtechs look pretty well designed, has anyone used them and can recommend? Or does anyone know of any snail cams with adjustment over 20mm that are worth buying? (Going on tartybikes modded Echo TR 135mm hub)
Mark W
You could probably bodge the new 'H' cams to fit I'd imagine. The only real difference is that they've got the built-in spacer so you'd need to potentially do something about that, but they go up to 23.5mm so they'd provide a little more adjustment than your Monty ones. If you've got a really old, stretched chain it might be worth replacing it for a new one as that'll move your wheel slightly further forwards in the dropouts which would help out with tension (although might not really help for your tyre clearance ). isitafox
Brand new Kool ordered from yourself I think matey not too long ago! May have to look at the H cams then and grind them down.
AdamR28
The Monty cams are pretty small (maximum adjustment is at 20mm) as you said, but don't rule out smooth cams (like the V!Z ones) since you can easily put your own notches in them with a round file

Might give them a going over first though with a file like you said before I spend anymore sorting it out, as I said above I'm using a Kool chain, would I be better going for a z610 when they're back in stock as I can always chuck this one on my mod??
