isitafox
Just read an article in Trials Magazine about a new London based company who are breaking into the trials scene called Redd Finn. They're currently testing a frame which will be put into production shortly, pretty odd setup really as the test rider they use uses it for his demos he does all over the country and wants it an all rounder so it can handle street, natural and be comfortable hopping on both front and rear wheels. It doesn't say anything about BB height but it does say its 1060, 72 head angle, 385 stays vertical dropouts and wait for it........a seat! They're still making minor adjustments here and there so won't be available for a while though the mag only comes out every 2 months so this could be old news, also runs maggie and disc mounts and the full built frames are gonna be bult mostly with Hope parts. Could be interesting to see when it finally makes an appearance!
Revolver
Frames with seats need longer seat tubes to look sensible.
isitafox
Apparently they wanted the top tube to not be as low as most modern frames and to have a seat so the rider could feel something between his legs. Bit weird if you ask me as it ain't gonna be any use for sitting on unless your having a rest!
Revolver
Indeed, also with the seat so low it looks like an afterthought.
bikeperson45
That's Chris Doney's bike isn't it?
Greetings
It's like that 26" Czar street frame from a few years back, that sold well Surely the only point of a seat is so that you can sit on it? This is as pointless as designing a full suspension trials frame and then welding up the shock absorber.
