Chorillas TPA wheel = £7.15. 1st class post is free. There's a 93% chance of it being with you next working day on 1st class mail. Ergo, it's £7.15 for a pretty good chance of getting a TPA to you next day. Even if you had a TPA kit sent with that too it's still 'only' £12.25.

I don't think Heatsink is necessarily a good example to use mainly because it's just Steve doing some bits and pieces in his spare time. I'm sure he'd love to be doing more, but with a growing family and a career that lies outside of the trials world, I don't see it happening.

Just as a quick side point too, you're talking about product prices there - Chorillas have to buy the material to make the TPA wheels. They also have to pay to make them. They then need to sell them on whilst covering their own overheads and also making a profit on top of that. We have to buy from them at that price, then pay to have them shipped over here, then pay the associated charges/fees that come with importing items into the UK. We then have to sell on with a certain margin. You then end up with an RRP. I don't really see TPA wheels being all that much cheaper than that simply because of the steps you have to go through to get things made, sold on, etc. If you can effectively cut out the middleman, and they were made in the UK, I guess you could maybe get them cheaper but it'd be asking quite a lot. Companies are out to make money, so if they're making a tiny %age on each product sold then it doesn't really make sense for them to do it. That's pretty much the reason that most mainstream companies make the products they do.

A bashring with a hard rubber compound on the outside to reduce shock to your bb/ frame and also noise and damage to public areas :P (free set of refils for me if you use this idea ) lol

Something like this has been done, there was a post about it not long ago!

yes it has but by puting the rubber on the outside would keep production costs low and also reduse noise .....

From what that guy was saying, it seemed like he meant something externally so it'd be quieter, rather than it still being metal hitting whatever it was you're hitting.

Spot ON Mark :)

It seems they've been testing and developing the Gummy and Graze bashes for quite a while, as well as the Hydrogen and Helium hubs they seem to be focusing on now. With how far down the road they are with those I wouldn't have thought they'd have been changing anything too soon (Plus they also won't really be that cheap bearing in mind the price the 'basic' Gummy bashring is). We'll see I guess.

If you particularly wanted a setup with an external rubber section, it wouldn't really be that hard to make yourself if you've got an existing bashring, some bash plate elastomer sort of material, some decent adhesive and a bit of time to tweak things...

I haven't really read up the gummy bash rings just saw the pictures and assumed the bit that fixed on the bottom was a hard rubber compound, seemed the most obvious thing to do in my mind.

Hydrogen and helium hubs? please explain mark. Im not the brightest guy ever but i know for a fact they're both gasses, or have a got the wrong end of the stick and they're the name of the hubs?

Also is tarty going to be stocking mikyway's products? I love the idea of their bashring.

I do have my eye on the TT Ti bash, if they did a similar version of that with rubber, i'd snap that up in seconds.

EDIT: after a second look at their new bashing its looking pretty hot actually.
