Only on the audio side, too much induced film grain on it to make it really stand out as a decent visual standard. In order of visuals...

Up - the pixar animation (the colours and clarity during the balloon release scene was fantastic, add to that a witty and clever stoyrline and fullscreen 1.77:1 ratio makes it a great showcase film)

Avatar

Dark knight

Transformers 1&2

Iron man 1&2

Band of brothers boxset (fullscreen 1.77:1 goodness again, less than £18 in tesco too)

Stealth

I dunno. My brother has a samsung LED tv. With dynamic contrast on and set up, the colours are so vivid its untrue!

I have a lovely sammy lcd too (led is the same as lcd screen wise, just a different backlight). Make sure to pick up a copy of UP and give it a spin. If your brotherss screen is anything like my 7series you'll really appreciate the film and it'll really make the tv shine.

This is very true. The IMAX scenes are amazing and the lengths they went to, to film it are amazing. Despite being a Hollywood, action-hero film i think it's amazing. The Joker character was played to perfection and makes up for just how stupid Batman sounds and acts.

Avatar on the other hand is the worst thing i have ever seen in my life. Boring, predictable, Americanised to the extreme, overly-stylised and all round a massive waste of time. Genuinly the worst film i have ever seen in my entire life - there is nothing good i could ever say about it.

Batman is definately worth getting on Blu Ray, anything with quite frantic action looks good, I've got Death Race as well which turned out well and Wolverine. Any animated film with some good colour should suffice, Up is a great film to watch anyway and I've got to admit I enjoy Finding Nemo. Remember watching that on my 28" flat screen when it first came out on DVD and was blown away by the quality then. And I got the original Transformers on Blu Ray, even a 25 year old animated movie looks pretty crisp!

As for Stealth, when that came free with my PS3 I gave it a go and considering I can only ever remember turning off 3 films in my life that got switched off then the disc got destroyed to stop me from ever having to watch it again, awful film, in my opinion anyway.

Yeah, i forgot to say the storyline and 80% of the acting is pretty dire, but the aerial flight scenes are fantastically crisp and fast paced with great cgi work on the planes. Shame they couldn't have used the same kind of budget elsewhere really.

Got my first two through, I Am Legend is amazing...the picture is incredible.

However, when i put Ratatouille in, it turned out to be region 1. Absolutely livid.

Send it to me!

I got the Pacific on blu-ray. Anyone seen that? Ain't got shit on BOB. But for some general bloody army violence it's good. It's a shame they stuck some crappy drama stuff in there which seemed wasteful and meaningless almost.

I know what you mean, the first two episodes are full of action then it dips for about 4 episodes. Still really good, but nothing on Band Of Brothers.
