toltrials13
Is an Ashton Diamondback Effect GOOD or NOT I'm Thinking about getting one
Miles Mallinson
They are pretty good for a starter 24inch bike, but I'd go for the Zoot as it has better components all round, I've ridden one for a bout 6 months now, the only problem with mine was the derailleur hangers they are really soft not really ideal for trials but its a nice frame to ride. Gaz96
I've never ridden one so I cant say anything about it but I can say they dont have a good reputation round here, i've heard way more bad about them than good
moff
really don't like the ashton diamondback, go for the onza zoot, if your after a decent complete 24"
multi tasking male
if i was you i would just look for a second hand inspired or something i got the ashton effect about a year ago as a complete bike and i have had to change so many parts, front brake hardly worked, gearing was all wrong, skipped when i rode in a straight line, not even pedaling hard. now i have got all of this sorted out, its know a realy nice bike to ride i do more bmxy street to trials so the geometry is near enough perfect for me, bit long with standard forks but with inspired forks on its perfect but i have spent alot of money to get it right, i would eathier go for a new zoot, or a second hand inspired/marino or something along those lines. hope this helps chris
