I'll be the first to admit I wasn't a fan of Pete when he first turned up on the Trials Kings forum (If you read this and don't know who the trials kings are then find out) and I was part of the lynch mob after his blood. I seem to remember the first thing he posted was something about his brake mount snapping off his Pashley 26mhz and him breaking his back. That was a long time ago and well before I knew anything about Pete. I'm going to be brutally honest here and I might offend Pete by saying this but I think Pete has got mental health issues. I'd rather not say this kind of thing somewhere where Pete can read it but its the only way people are going to be able to accept him. With someone like Pete you've got to accept him for who he is and how his problems affect him. I really don't think the way he is, is his fault. I'm sure half the time he doesn't even realise he's "exaggerating the truth". I think if people take that into account and stop ganging up on him then he'll be fine on here. It's not ideal having a member on the forum that needs to come with a warning of his "issues" but the world isn't an ideal place. I think giving Pete another chance with the knowledge and understanding of his problems is the right thing to do. This is coming from someone who was (probably still) a twat on this forum. I'm glad I got a second chance. I got banned years ago all through my own doing. The difference between me and Pete is I haven't got any problems in my life. I was a twat for the sake of being a twat. Anyway I'm glad Tom has offered Pete a chance to be a member of this forum, I really hope you lot will help Pete and accept him for who he is rather than take the piss out of him. Well other than not paying Matt, there is no one that i took an item off and never paid or took money off and never delivered. There are the far fetched tails and rumors but nothing hard core. I even had Bigman call me when i sold him a Chris King 32H black hub on a D521 saying hed just had it delivered. Charlie bought my Crescent, it did the rounds and somehow via other means and pepole it come back into my shop. Its now been tipped as i cracked it. I never set out to do people over. I have been on the tablets from sep 2010. I saw a councler and stuff. Sadly things have gotten a lot worse for me. I see that line between the real world and me, i can interact, work, relationships etc but i have to keep some form of a guard up and thats my problem. Cognitve behaver or something. I've just come back from seeing the doc and things are being steped up even more now. I fully belive i am not firing on all clinders as it be. I do have some form of a mental illness and looking on the mind website there is amass of different things i could or do have. My symptons match a few things. The route cause has yet to be found and takes years im told. Brains are complex, trying to understand others when you dont full understand your self is mental in its self. Thats me! I've needed help for a long time but admitting to it is not so easy. I did this in september and it's ongoing. I was a twat back in the day, tipical bushy kid on the net as we all do in some form. It caught me and out bite me big time. Im not that person now and want to prove that and anything thats outstanding thats really worth fixing Im here to do so! Alan im really not offened at all and aprechate you being honest, only if some closer people in my life had said this i could of been fixed or helped sooner. Ah trials king, they where the days! Umm Chris Swallows ridding that Sunn. Now were talking trials at the best time it was i think. Cool, underground, unheard of, unseen, mind blowing, really technical. You've made a warm feeling and smile come all over mate. Not felt that in ages. Fact im going to look for the video now. Think i got a copy on my NAS. I'm really glad that you can admit and accept that something isn't quite right. I really hope things turn around for you and I'm sure they will. You'll have to work hard to get where you want to be though mate. Love the song too Just to add I have recently bought a loaddd of parts of pete aka hayerstoby last week?? parts came to just under £500. Everything was sound apart from the pads a bit mishaped, one snail cam instead of two and 170 cranks when he said they were 175,s. But everything else was spot on. without knowing petes history ( which I should ive been around here a long long time) if I had seen this thread before I had bought the stuff I probably wouldnt of went through with it, theres no excuse for scamming someone and plus you even denied it was you when clearly it was (or you wouldnt be reimbursing him). Having said that I believe everyone should get a second chance and it sounds like petes in a bit of a rough patch so lets see if he can keep his promises with matt. Sort out the people you owe stuff/money to (just because they're not frequent forum users or have given up trying after 5 years doesn't mean they don't exist) and continue to make reasonable effort like you very occasionally manage to do and there's no reason you shouldn't be on the forum again, Pete. Realise that asking for a clean slate is totally different to being given another chance though. Oh and to those that assume I'm just jumping on a bandwagon or whatever, I'm really not. It flexed more than Rolf Harris wobble bord. It cracked on the carbon spacer as they where to thin. I replaced them with thicker ones, rebuilt and just had it as a dick around on bike in the back of work. A customer who like it took it when i was clossing the shop as its was dead material due to the massive about of flex she had. I belive he has it in his room. Probably nobody would think anything of it if pete put up a dispute because of his past. I didn't know personly as had not even looked that the cranks where 170mm as to 175mm. I presumed as I have always used 175mm Middleburns etc. Lee did TXT me and I did say and still stand by on sorting him out. He sent me £460 GBP via Paypal and i sent him updates of packing it up with photos, booking ref, tracking, TXT'd soon as DHL had been, even check the tracking in the morning and again TXT'd him saying it's out for delivery. Asked him during the day if it had arrived. I made sure as much as possible he was kept up to date with everything and in the know. £460 is a lot of dosh and as hard as you all may find this I dont scam. I've been scamed and it's not nice. I also try to be a really good seller with constant coms on updates of the progress. Lee if there is a problem drop me a line and more than happy to sort it, get you some new snail cams or something. Paypal payment means everyones covered, I make sure i send everything ether with tracking or insurance and have means of showing it was sent should anything go wrong within the delivery of said items. Even though you have sent payment it does not mean your out of pocket if there are problems In addtion as well with Lee i sent him my home address and number when we did the deal so he had all the info. On some forums I use this is a mandatory thing to be granted access into the forsale side of the site and prevent any missdominas if all goes wrong.
