Muel
Hey all, I know f**k all about industrial other than I like Nachtmahr, and managed to miss him playing 5 mins from my flat the other night. I want to get more into it, and in the past I've found the best way to explore a new genre is to ask people what they like. Educate me? For proper industrial music, and probably not at all what you're after check out the one, the only, Mr. Tom Waits. Something from 'Bone Machine' is what i'm talking about when i think 'industrial'. Muel
Well if that's industrial, f**k knows what I'm listening to. I ended up at an industrial night at my regular club (Corp in Sheffield), it was full of people from the matrix with dreadlocks doing this wierd twirly dancing. Felt a bit out of place seeing as I was there for Drop (mainly metal night), but I really liked what they were playing. Matthew62
Yeah i can imagine the sort of stuff you're after, i just find it weird to label it industrial when a lot of it is made with computers and synths. When i think of industrial music i think of f**kers smashing the shit out of old pipes, and using industrial equipment to actually make the music. I suppose it doesn't matter what its called...breaking music down in to too many categories only creates barriers.

My friend he loves a German band called 'Wumpscut' he also likes Psyclon Nine. Me I like more of the rock side of Industrial. For example Fear Factory, SpineShank (The Height Of Callousness album the other albums are more Metal), Godhead and Rammstein. But on the other side of Industrial I love Emilie Autumn (Edit: Look into Opheliac album), her music is Victorian metal industrial thing what is amazing. I hope it helps you out a bit. Daz.
