MPfive
Just got back into trials a few weeks ago after an 8 or so year gap.I bought a couple year old monty off a friend.Only problem is its got an Echo rear hydraulic rim brake on it,where one of the slave cylinders is weeping. Is there a way of stripping it and replacing the O-rings/washers or is it a case of just buying another unit? Any help would be great,I'd like to do this on the cheap as a stop gap untill pay day at end of month.
p_ruskin
Pull out the piston and lubricate it with some Teflon dry lube, should help, or it could be a bad bleed.

Is it realy as easy as just pulling it out.I pulled it out a bit,but didn't want to break it.What the best technique?

If you still have fluid in your brakes put you finger on the non problem cyclinder and compress the lever making the dodgy piston move out, sometimes they pop off, sometimes you need to take the bleed grub screw out and just pull on the bad piston till its free of the calliper housing. they do just come straight out
