Alex Dark
Right so here's the deal.... I have an old Hope mono trial try-all edition ( the silver and red one with silver braided hose ). Unfortunately when I got it, the hose was missing some fittings at the caliper end. I do have the following: Banjo bolt, banjo , 2 m6 copper washers. The banjo has a hole with no barb sticking out of it. So what connectors do I need? The outer diameter of the hosing is 6mm. According to this link: ( clicky ) This braided hose can be used with either 5mm or 6mm fittings? Superstar offer hose fitting kits for £8 posted for both ends and both brakes, which is pretty amazing value but I'm not sure if this will fit? The connectors will fit the caliper etc but im not sure if they will accept the hosing. Chainreaction sell the 90* kit for £10 which seems ideal but im still not sure if it will fit click Tarty Adam told me I need a 6mm shroud, olive and hose insert, but im kinda confused thanks to that STW post above. Surely there must be more than one banjo size ( 5mm and 6mm ) to accept the 5 and 6mm banjos?! Tarty only sell one... Why do some banjos seem to come with a hose insert already included? Updated design maybe? Cheers to anyone that can shed some light and help me

AdamR28
^^ As Ali said. Strictly speaking you *can* use the 5mm shroud with braided hose, but you will have a hard time getting it on and you'll have to strip loads of the plastic cover off which will look messy. There is only one banjo size/type now, the one on CRC is the old type (the barb is alloy so it snapped easily during fitting).
