isitafox
Can anyone help, I've got an old Tryall stem on my stock with a sloping top cap but I don't know the geo! It's the one with a gusset on the top next to the top cap and the top cap has 2 opposite quarters machined out of it. I want to know as when I fit my new Trialtech forks I want to use the screw in topcap that came with them but this requires a new stem which will work with a flat topcap, can anyone help? I can't get pics at the moment as I'm at work but I'll try and get some up tonight or tomorrow!

isitafox
Yeah but I wanted to use the proper top cap to see how that does.
TrialsMan Dan
kinda off topic but how do you measure the rise of a stem if its unknown, i have a stem that i may be selling and i think its between 8 and 12 degree rise but im not sure, its an unbranded alloy stem too so ive no idea. How would i go about it?

How would i go about it? Get a protractor and put the stems steerer clamp on a flat surface, put the protractor on the axis where the arm of the stem rises thats what I would think to do.
