Si-man
That sort of depends on concentration though. If he didn't realise he was doing 70mph, and also didn't realise there was a speed van there (they're not all that subtle), then that doesn't exactly fill you with confidence, surely? In the interests of full disclosure, I freely admit I don't always abide by speed limits, but generally speaking whenever I pop over I usually make sure I'm extra vigilant for any potential camera vans/plain clothes cars/other shit, and the more over I go the more I keep an eye out. The camera van is coming out more and more on Preston New road btw, is by Wickes a lot. Just a head up
Mark W
Cool, cheers for letting me know! Most of the time when I'm on that road I'm balls deep in rush hour traffic and speeding would be a welcome option. This has, however, reminded me that I need to work out a slightly better start-of-route route.
RobinJI
LOL does 120 resticked, think I know how to handle it, Ive ridden bikes all my life, Unfortunately, all that experience means absolutely jack shit on the road. The police wouldn't drag Lewis Hamilton out of his race car, stick him in a traffic car and trust him not to kill anyone ragging it around at high speed with no training, and most high speed pursuit drivers wouldn't be particularly competitive in a circuit race. It's not the same skill set, you can be the best person in the world at keeping the thing on 2 wheels, but if you don't know what to look out for on the road, (which with and attitude that you know it all already at 20, you sure as hell don't) it really wont stop it hurting just as much when you don't notice the car edging out of a side road or the pedestrian about to step out. And that's IF you actually do 'know how to handle it,' which if you're already thinking you know it all, is somewhat questionable. No offence, but man the hell up and admit you're not superman. dann2707
Regardless of driving experience, (My Dads the only one I trust with my life driving fast after his stupid amount of rallying years and he is an amazing driver when he wants), but regardless of that, it only takes a bit of oil on the road, a kid to run out for your "amazing experience" to be rendered absolutely useless...
