Disk Honking Like A Whore.

Little Yoshi

Recommended Posts

Got a Hope mono on the front. Got some Oil on the pads/disk but boiled/cleaned them. It was'nt working all that well. Very little bite/hold.

So thought would try and burn them off by going down the hill braking while I go and then pour water on them. But now its honking like hell.

So have I glazed my pads?

Another trick is to bung muddy water in and then drag it down hill.

The sediment that makes it muddy becomes an abrasive, it helps remove a layer of shite.

Oil would have soaked into the pads so it would be throughout the pad material. This is only good for bedding in new pads or removing a glaze.

Remove pads.

Open coke can.

Drink coke.

Cut coke can in half.

Rinse out bottom half of coke can.

Place pads in half of coke can.

Tip meths in coke can till cover pads.

Light meths.

Walk away.

Clean rotor in hot water with fairy liquid and a sponge with a scouring pad on it.

Dry rotor.Wipe rotor with meths and a clean cloth, rotating cloth so a new bit is used every time you put meths on it.

Once meths has finnished burning in coke can, leave to cool.

Fit rotor, pads and brake.

Go down a hill.

Job done.
