Sam T
Fixed sprockets front and rear. Although, i wouldnt reccomend it if its for your trials bike, its horrible.

Sam T
Cheers fella quick reply, if its shite then I don't want one No worries. Mate of mine had a zoo built up with fixed sprocket, it was literly impossible to do anything as you cant stop driving the chain.
monkeyseemonkeydo
Link to the vids? You sure they weren't just back pedalling with the bike to allow it to roll back?

J.KYDD
Yeh, as monkeymonkey said. Sure they wern't just doing a fakie? To allow the bike to move backwards you must also pedal backwards to stop the hub engaging, thus stopping you.
monkeyseemonkeydo
That fella who's 70 he was doing it Well he was definitely just doing a roll back.

Miles Mallinson
Also Bmxers use Freecoaster so they don't have to pedal backwards they can just freewheel backwards which is kind of lazy if you ask me. onza1
So are they not pedalling backwards maybe my confusion
Mark W
They were using freecoasters where they don't need to pedal backwards. Any trials setup will make the pedals go backwards when you roll it backwards which is why it looks like they're actually pedalling themselves backwards. Miles Mallinson
Yeh they are letting the drivetrain pedal there legs backwards and controling the speed, but you don't pedal backward frantically backwards just go with the flow, also do a small endo and let go of the brake by using you momentum to roll backwards. dann2707
I always get asked how I'm able to pedal backwards but it's a simple case of rolling backwards and letting the pedals do the work, try it, it's easy as owt!

Oh yeh and lean back quite far to keep your balance and gives more room to move you legs around.
