KiDsOn15
Hey people. Guys and gals. Sorry im not really on here much, when i am i'm either dribbling over peoples lush trials bikes or being amazed by the amount of peoples talent in there video's on here. But anyways lets get back to the topic. I wanna get back into trials, i used to ride when i was about 14. I've been into trials ever since i went to my brothers college open day and saw Andrei Burton riding round. Was fantastic, But the problem is i've been out of the trials "scene" quite a bit, by that i mean about 2 years. :$ I wanna ride trials like you lot. but don't know what bike would suit me better as im quite a hefty lad. Im about 5ft 11, and weigh about 11 stone. I wanna ride stock because their easier suited to my height, but i wanna ride mod because i like to hope things around. HELP ME PLEASE! x

forteh
Have you considered one of the 24" uci type bikes? By that I mean not one with a seat, you should be able to set it up to allow you enough space but still be quite flicky like a mod Im probably talking crap and someone with an ounce of sense will correct me edit: dammit too slow! But know i know trials is a seriously expensive way to ride Old bikes: Saracen 2.6 http://is00.thegumtree.com/image/extrabig/27659904.jpg Diamondback Tekiya http://images.thebikelist.co.uk/imagecache/file/width/900/images/models/Diamondback/2009/Tekiya_09/TEKI07.jpg Both of them, i snapped the frames. i don't know if it was because of my weight :$ or the fact there just complete shite frames? Wont be your weight, 11 stone isnt much at all. Id say most middle twenty riders are 10-11 stone. Something like this might suit you; http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/24_inch_frames_135mm/because_simple_trial_24_inch/c70p11123.html

Al_Fel
Thanks for the adivce. Much appreiciated. EDIT. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_trials_bikes/koxx_levelboss_2/c47p11478.html <-- Would i be likely to snapping this frame? No chance. They are solid frames mate. That's a great deal on a bike too. Most of the parts on that bike you get on the sky bikes. You wouldn't be disappointed if you bought that bike and you certainly wouldn't break it any time soon.

Jon Alty
That levellboss is really nice spec, but the frame is just ugly as . But if u bought that bike and replaced the frame, youd be onto a winner, at not very much cost compared to buying that stuff seperate . Not saying you should replace the frame, im just saying i would .

To add to that, the geometry is quite outdated by todays standards, I know that doesnt make a huge difference when youre learning but you may find you are restricted as you progress; that said a good rider will still be better on that that than a poor rider on modern geometry. Im not sure about the mk2 levelboss (which that is) but the mk1was bombproof
