Gaz96
Currently building up a zoot pro at the moment and needing a headset, cant afford the Echo SL which would be desired! Anyway would this work on a trials bike? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30498 I will also be running this. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/headset_spares/gusset_hollow_star_nut_kit/c57p11013.html
Matt Burrows
I wouldn't bother with a deep cup headset like that, they don't fit some frames and are a bit overkill for trials. Personally I would go for http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=851, a pretty mint headset for the money (I'd prefer that over an Echo)
LukasMcNeal
Also your headtube may not be fully cut all the way down to fit that type of headset, I know on deng frames most are not.
Gaz96
How about this then? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30496
Revolver
FSA have been going for ages and their headsets are quality shit. I used to have a Pig Pro, which I kept through multiple frames. I think I still have it now. I bought it in something like 2004. For the sake of a couple of quid, I'd get the FSA one.
Gaz96
Just realised that FSA is down from like £55 pound so im guessing that it must be a decent headset!

davey1991
I agree with the FSA thing i had a standard pig (Unsealed bearings.) and i couldn't kill it.

I had a standard pig and I broke the lower race. I think cartridge bearings are much better.

MiuSliS
A quick google says 114g Wish it was true! Because than i would buy 2 of those immediately, just got replay from CRC - it weighs 145g. Edit: What about this?? On the other hand these look promising, but has anyone used it for trials? I mean is it strong enough? Would buy it for my commuting bike for sure, but for trials, not so quickly. Need more feedback. Brettoll
I would be able to give you feedback, but I haven't got a frame to put mine in yet.... Don't think one has been used for trials yet so not sure how it will fare, but it does look and feel rather nice.

Mark W
If you're buying the Zoot Pro as the 'normal' framekit, you'll be getting what's essentially the Nuke Proof Warhead HD headset with it anyway. If you're just buying a frame off someone, then you can sorta disregard that bit On the other hand these look promising, but has anyone used it for trials? I mean is it strong enough? It's the same as the V!Z headset, and they seem to be alright

Mark W
As long as the frame doesn't reject that headset for being so ugly it should be fine
