pezza p
My brake just stops dead it's been bled and still nothing Edited January 16, 2011 by pezza p
JD™
Could you try doing that with a little less detail? For the love of god, please don't add pictures or some sort of description that is worthwhile - if you were to do that you would run the risk of someone actually being able to help. MadManMike
Ben, if you read this, see above example of my point we were discussing last night.

Or you could just send him a little link for your next 'picking holes in Jason' session.
MadManMike
Or you could just send him a little link for your next 'picking holes in Jason' session. Haha, I've not picked holes in you... In fact I didn't even read what you guys we're discussing.

Fair enough, just what it sounded like. I would ask what it's an example of, but I have a feeling I don't want to know, so I'll leave it at that. Revolver
I think it's got to do with this guy's cracking description of his brake and the problem that afflicts it. Pezza p, from your description all I can assume is your rim is covered in shite. Edited January 16, 2011 by Revolver

I made a comment in "that" thread which Ben thought was stupid, so he used my own quote on me. I tried to justify what I classed as stupid, but failed. So my comment above was basically saying "Look, this is what I call stupid". (OP, not you...)

Kieran Morrison
What do you mean it stops dead? Could you make the title 'brake problem' or something, you've written what should have been the first post in the title, and the title would have been more helpfull if it was in the original post. trials4life1
he is trying to say that his brake bites very well but it cannot hold at all, when you pull the lever in it just stops dead, normally there is a feel to the brake but it just stops completely and there is no power, i have gave it a fresh bleed and changed the lever but it still seems to do it. 6ft-midget
Is the lever piston bottoming out? When you bled the brake did you undo the TPA?
trials4life1
Is the lever piston bottoming out? When you bled the brake did you undo the TPA? yea we undone the tpa all the way bled it, still done the same thing,
Revolver
Smooth rim? What pads? This is all stuff he should've put in his OP so that we could solve this problem quickly.

Mark W
what u gonna say then you 4 eyes f**k Surely in that instance you'd change it to be "4 eyed f**k"?
MadManMike
And also, wait until you're a couple of years older and you'll realise how pathetic an insult "four eyes" is. It's not offensive any way, at all.

Luke Dunstan
4 eyes It's the slutty receptionist look, and he pulls it off. In order to let people help you, you need to be more descriptive. Pads?Rim?Tar?Frame?Booster? Also if your rim is filthy, then clean that and your pads. And allow time for your pads to break in. P.s Stop being a idiot. Edited January 18, 2011 by xDUNSTANx
Matt Burrows
The piston is bottoming out in the lever, you haven't bled it properly, go and try bleeding it again. You shouldn't need to use the tpa to get the pads to hit the rim, if they don't reach then move the cylinders closer.
