I am thinking of getting the new echo tr lever, but I have heard alot about the old ones leaking, is the true? Is it more powerful than the maggura ones? And what is your opinion on them?

EDIT: Would I be better getting a fresh products lever blade for me Hs33?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT!

people may winge at me but i dont care ive had nothing but problems with Echo TR brakes and bodys (sl is the way forward) anyway i bought a old echo tr brake about a year ago and it was terrible after a day it leaked all its fluid and i had to return it

then last week i bought the NEW 2011 ECHO TR BODY with new seals and apperent much better, well i got a hose got it all toghter bled it lovely fitted it and as soon as i pulled the lever it leaked all the fluid from the grub screw :S,

i thought i had not tighten then grub screw so i bled it again and made sure it was all tight and fitted well, AGAIN she leaked so i tried again but swaped over threds and again the grub screw leaked !

massive mess around for me and for tartybikes as i had to return it to them and they now have to test it and see what the problem is

cant say ive had problems with the sl but i dont want to spend £150 on one at this time but i think i will have too ! boooo

hope this helps and im sure there is someone lucky out there whos echo TR working fine but i have had problems twice and will never go back

I had this problem with mine but waited that long for them i wasn't prepared to send them back as i need new brakes. The grub screws leaks like your so i got the grub swrews out of my hs33s -problem solved!! think there great and the feel is really good. The point on the grub screws are far to much on the echo ones. pretty pants to be honest but hopefully they sorts this if not order 2 magura screws and that will sort it.
