Andeee
Basically was out riding today with me mates when me mate noticed a crack on the top tube weld near where it divides to the two top stays. Anyone ever com across this before? the frame is only 6 months old. The 09 deng models must be prone for snapping/cracking at the weld as the last topic i posted was me mate who snapped a gu le at the weld on the chain stay. Oppinions? Laurence--Trials
Zoo's are normally known for there strength.. never herd of one cracking where yours has cracked.
Mark W
Me neither. While we're on the subject, almost every crack's going to happen at a weld (unless there's a material defect or something) - it doesn't mean anything about that particular frame or anything at all, really. LukasMcNeal
I remember someone saying they cracked a zoo and the rest of the bike was also battered. So pics really, if the rest of the bikes battered that would probably explain why.
Linus
It's funny how people think that just because it's a ZOO! it will hold up for anything. As I've understand it, the old ZOOs where very strong, although thoose weight about 2 kg, and the Lynx weight 1,54. Surely that makes a difference. Although I feel sorry, never fun when a bike brakes.
trials4life1
i have cracked a zoo in about 3 different places
SamKidney
The bike in question is far from battered and is kept in a high state of repair. It is also a very strange place for is to crack. Surely a frame defect? Especialy considering our friend Kornel Brygola has been riding one hard for around a year with Zero problems. Andeee will confirm this for me. Not sure what action could be done on this but needs sorting. The Zoo Lynx is a very good frame, and should no have cracked in this space in time, in such an unlikely place.

My bikes are always in perfect working order but trust me some of them take some hard, hard knocks. If there is very little sign of damage it may well be a warranty claim, but don't get your hopes up with it being an 09.
SamKidney
its not so much the condition of the bike, its how its happened. Im saying another zoo lynx is being ridden better and harder by a friend of ours. The one in question is half as old, only 6 months, and ridden no where near as hard. As mark mentioned, very strange place to crack.
