JD™
Steerer spacer!! Lol yea, it hasn't killed me yet - it was a stop gap but I just haven't ended up getting round to getting one!
Mark W
Haha, hadn't noticed it before. I did exactly the same thing back in the day when I didn't have a spacer... Oh, and regarding Saturday - no can do, sorry! Hope you have a good ride though if the weather grows some balls

Oh, and regarding Saturday - no can do, sorry! Hope you have a good ride though if the weather grows some balls Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks it's acceptable as a stop gap. No worries on Saturday, but we'll have to get a ride at some point when you're down this way.
Mark W
I think I'm heading down with Ali and possibly some others at some point, so I'll keep you in the loop To get to that estate by the way, the easiest way is to head to Tower Bridge, then head South on Tower Bridge Road and keep an eye out on your right for Rothsay street. It's a little way down there, past a couple of junctions 'n' shit. Anyways, once you see Rothsay St. you'll be turning right off Tower Bridge Road. As you go down that street you'll see an arch way built into the walls of a block of flats. Mince through there and you're there There's a bunch of other spots around that area too, just have a look in some of the other estates and you'll find flat banks, blocks, manny pads, etc.
JD™
Great stuff, cheers In impatient news: Before: After: I think it finishes it off just nicely. Not looking forward to wearing through the sidewalls now though! Cheers for all the good thoughts people Edited January 13, 2011 by JD™
JD™
Well, this didn't last long at all. "I'll just go practise some bunnyhops for half hour" My bunny technique is bad, but I didn't realise it was this bad: It wasn't too kind to my shin either. Needless to say I can't afford a new frame, so I'm back to not riding for the foreseeable. Gay.
Mark W
Was going to make some form of joke when this first went up about it not being broken yet, and the whole ES/EasySnap thing, but that still sucks...

JD™
Yea looked at that, need to suss out my finances first at the moment. I might end up ordering a Marino to tide me through till I can afford to pretty much order a full new build and do it properly. Now that the frame is dead, I feel less reason to stay stuck in the past with the rest of the build...

I did toy earlier with the idea of buying some new forks, rims and a 24" frame but it looks like what's actually going to happen now is a Marino for a bit. In the mean time, I can pick up a Dr Jekyll tomorrow for Saturday so I can at least ride - true old school by using a DJ frame lol.

Yeah i'll drop you a text about ridingz tomorrow If you do fancy it though, it is very nice and pretty cheap frame only - would be cool to see it go to someone who'd look after it. JD™
Awwwww, I thought the coolness of the paint job would have increased strength It was, to quote Mark, about a micron thick. Ah well, almost certain I'm gonna order a Marino tomorrow
Matt Burrows
Gutted that it broke so soon after all that effort of a respray I like Revolver and Skoze for suggesting my Pure, you know it makes sense! Buy it and then you will ride as good as If only I could still ride like that!

Buy it and then you will ride as good as If only I could still ride like that! It sucks massively, I'm now so glad I didn't spend forever doing it, and at least it was good practise for the future. Gotta look on the bright side - I had 7/8 years of on/off riding on this frame that was, as Mark said, part of the EasySnap range. I am seriously considering your Pure, but at the moment it's being edged out by a Marino. I'm basically going to shamelessly rip off the Hex geo to see whether I get on with it and go from there. Feel dirty for doing it after spending some time with Dave over the past couple of years, but haven't got £400 to spunk right now. But I also feel like if I'm gonna spend £80 I might as well go to a couple of hundred for something I really want. Still thinking though... If you get in touch with him can you tell me. Been trying to get hold of him for the past while. He got back to me within 10 minutes of me placing an accidental order earlier...
