Revelation
I'm building up a Zoo Piranha long and its so frustrating because 2.4 Ardent clears with like 1mm of clearance. So everytime the tire picks up some pebblesor some dirt, the rear wheel can get stuck quite easily Considering that it has tons of sideways clearance, Deng could've easily moved the integrated booster arch up, and it would've cleared easily! I don't want to cut the centre knobs, so I want to try a 2.5 minion for the last time, hopefully the 2.5 minion is lower vertically than the Ardent. Deng should at least try fitting a tire before designing a frame.
PaRtZ
2.5 fits fine. With a bit of modding to tyre + frame, a 2.6 rubber queen fits too but I reckon you dont want to do that So yeah a front 2.5 maxxis minion dual ply WILL clear without mods. Revelation
Maxxis 2.5 high roller fits too theyre better than minion's Really? do you mind taking a picture of the upper booster part and how the clearance is? It does not make sense that it can clear a 2.5 Highroller and not a 2.4 Ardent.

Revelation
Rain king fitted as well ;-) Did you have to cut down any center knobs at all? and how is the clearance with the booster?

Nick Manning
I'm using a Schwalbe Big Betty 2.4 and have plenty of clearance. I'm running it on a Echo SL front rim.
