Laurence--Trials
Pretty sure you need organic for trials use.

ghostrider88
The BB7 comes standard with organic pads. Ehm,no http://www.sram.com/avid/products/bb7-mountain-mechanical-disk-brake
LukasMcNeal
I made a thread a while back and people said organic. Also that must be a different version because it also says it comes with a clean sweep rotor when they usually come with roundagons.
Matt Burrows
After trying 2 sets of organic and 3 sets of sintered I would say that sintered are slightly better. You will find all sorts of arguments to say that one is better than the other, but to be honest both of the avid compounds are great. Considering sintered pads last longer I would go for them, plus mine seem to work even better when the weather is cold like recently. ghostrider88
Don´t you think that people always can be wrong?Maybe because hope´s come with organic they think so do avid´s but that´s just not true...
AndrewG
bb7 comes with sintered pads... and neil T rides sintered too and I think his brake is good example for that which pads are best
trialsmax04
organic = better performance. Sintered = longer life. Simples
ghostrider88
organic = better performance. Sintered = longer life. Simples not necessarily,in this case I would say exactly opposite, and yes,I´ve tried both.
CC12345678910
well I asked tarty because when I last checked this thread (thurs or friday night I think, I forget) it wasn't going anywhere and got impatient. Anyway adam replied that the pads I have are thse sintered ones so thats what I'm gonna buy. The performance is more than enough for what I need, they don't glaze over from heat too bad (like organic compounds are famous for) and the wear life is brilliant. this is the first set of pads i'm buying for my brake and I bought it late summer 2009, enough said. Thanks for your help people. Edited January 10, 2011 by CC12345678910
