hi guys,

i have got a tr wheel for my brothers bike, the bike is a monty 221 ti from 2006, and the wheel is, Tr rim on Tr hub 2010, but when i put the wheel on it dont fit, the dics is pulled very much to the left, against the frame and i have to turn my cog around, anyone tried this or someone there can tell me what to do so it fits good?

thanks

Erik

Monty frames have 110mm hub spacing, the hub is designed for 116mm just like all modern frames. The lack of snail cams between the hub and frame effectively mean that while you can get the wheel in easily, you're missing 3mm worth of spacers on each side. There's little you can do about this without cracking the frame in due course.

Put the disc side snail cam between the hub and the frame, and the drive side snail cam on the outside of the frame. That way, you will only have to stretch the frame out a very small amount, the disc rotor will be in the correct alignment, and you won't have to go around bodging anything :)

what if i take the washers and file them a little bit down so it will fit? can i do that?

Okee but what if you're riding with chaintugs?

I have the same setup as him but I am riding the onza comp frame and there's no space for a disc.

Can you help me please?

BTW the Echo TR hub has two different spacers(one small and one thicker spacer).
