Another Tyre Pressure Question!

hi guys, i know you've probably had way over a billion tyre pressure questions on here before... but after sifting through a billion responses in the search bar, i've not managed to find what i wanted.....

anyway, the problem is i ride mostly street (on my 24) and i really like high tyre pressure, im not overweight or anything but the bike just feels alot more responsive when running a high pressure, also it makes spin's and spin taps etc much easier... but im running "pierced" or "drilled" rims or whatever people are callin 'em, im really concerned with the whole inner tube bulging out of the rim situation..

i want to run about 55-60 psi on a rim with gigantic holes in it it? will this be o.k?? with a quality rim tape.., i mean im running 45psi at the minute (its not enough for me) and even at that it still looks like the tube is trying to escape from the rim via the holes... im just not sure what to do, has anybody on here managed to run 60 psi on "rims with holes in them" without any problems?? if anybody has any info that would be great.. i cant wait to try this bike out properly with some hard tyres, be able to bust out that 1080 tripple whip frontflip off an 8 story building that ive been eyeing up for ages (Y)

As long as your rim tape is all good you'll be fine no problems.

There is no real technical name for rims that have been drilled or cnc'd. The tube will never come through the hole as long as you run the right rime

tape for the size diameter wheel your buying or have. When it comes to tire pressure as long as you don't exceed the manufactures recommended

high and low pressure you should be fine.

Trials moves = low pressure usually 30-40 psi depends on your weight.

street and urban park riders 60-80 psi depending on your weight.

your biggest concern while spinning will be folding the tire over the rim and getting a blow out, but if you keep your psi at what you say you like it at your fine.

Good luck!

30-40 psi is kinda high no? i am way more clueless than most of you are probably, but still..i ride between 15 and 20 usually, but have heard of guys in europe running even less? like 12 psi?

Well like i said weight depending. I weigh 210 pounds and i ride a 24" I ride low 30's or high 29's depends.

Also upon what type of riding you do in street there is a lot more sharp edges to hit. In natural riding there

are a lot more soft edges to hit, not to say they are all soft but more or less. and 12 psi I could only see in a 20" mod bike.
