Also songs you know like all the words to seem to help, i guess singing along helps take your mind off what your doing? Does for me anyway. Like if im doing a long distance run, then ill make a playlist of songs that i know like all the words to, so i can sing most of every song for an hour, and i seem to be able to run better. ellingtj Posted January 10, 2011 Report Share Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) Just listen to what the gym staff are playing which is usually r'n'b or d'n'b (they've got a fairly heavy duty setup 4 x 15" JBL cabs with 2 x 18" JBL subs - http://www.24hrgym.co.uk/), never used headphones etc. as I need to listen out for my joints cracking - my shoulder makes some unhealthy sounds - too much weight but that's the idea no?
