LukasMcNeal
Hey I'm switching from mod to stock and would like to know the stem size I'd need. I'm about 6'4" and on my mod I had the trialtech forged stem which was quite high which was good. I'm mostly going to be riding street so what's a good stock size? Thanks Edit: Forgot to mention I'll be riding an 08 GU Edited January 5, 2011 by LukasMcNeal
craigjames
What frame are you looking to get. Stem length and rise is generally dicatated by the geometry of the frame you're looking to run it on.
LukasMcNeal
It's a GU08 1080mm +55mm 72*
Theta2
You'll want a 130*25 stem for that
craigjames
Yeah something like the Trialtech high rise 130x25 or the Tryall/Rockman 3D forged stem 127x27 would be best suited. Some decent risers too.
LukasMcNeal
Do I really need something highrise for a stock? And yeah they'll be used with V!Z Pro 720s.
matt.price
I'd recommend a mod stem , as i'm 6ft 3 and the move to a mod stem has help loads.. or do you think a mod stem will be a over kill ?
craigjames
I dunno think a mod stem on a bike with a +55 bb would be a little much, having those bars will obviously give you more rise and a bit more reach.

onza1
Could I put a onza mod stem on my phase?
Alex Dark
Could I put a onza mod stem on my phase? It's possible. Best stem you could run on that GU I reckon, like craig said, would be the zhi/rockman/try-all 3d 127x127 stem
