Greetings
Some time ago I stripped the thread on the non drive side Reset bb cup. Was using a steel replacement from a square taper VP but found today that the play in the BB was in fact wear of the steel cup and not the bearings. It was never a tight fit either which is probably why more play appeared throughout the course of the year. Since cups are going to be pretty hard to come by, can somebody recommend a cheap BB with an aluminium cup matching the parameters of the Reset one? N.Wood
Are they the same as the Try-All ones?
Greetings
Not that I'd consider a TA cheap but to answer your question, I don't know Here's the problem, the stop on the VP cup is in the wrong place leaving a gap between the bearing and cup. I could have a spacer made, but since this bb is fairly high quality stuff, I wouldn't like to bodge it.
Jon Alty
http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/bb_spares/reset_bottom_bracket_cup/c103p11321.html Theyre out of stock atm but says they are on order. They are pretty cheap though considering the BB is like £100.

Cheers, wasn't aware that these are available as spares! edit: Mark, since you'll be looking, doesn't the Reset bb come with Ti bolts rather than steel ones?
