isitafox
I'd take a guess that people can't be bothered to disconnect a hose and rebleed the brake after, just leave it on the outside until the brake actually needs a bleed and then do it maybe?? PeanuckleJive
I did it to mine, love it Most people just can't be bothered, they just wanna build their bike and ride it. My brake needed rebleeding anyway, so I removed the lever, fed the hose through and then put the lever back on Protip: if you don't wanna remove the fitting from your hose but want to use the little plastic hole covers that come with the frame, use a set of wire cutters to cut a slot from the bottom of the hole cover up into the hole the hose comes through, that way you can just stretch them over the hose rather than fiddling about removing fittings and threading the hose through. You also might have to get a little creative with a file on the holes in the frame though this way, to fit the fittings through the holes. I can get some photos of mine if you're confused. Ali C
there's no reason you would need to re-bleed if you do it properly, it's a closed system, the fluid won't come out unless you give the hose/lever a good knock
