Matt Vandart
I did this to make my chain tensioner even better. Bolt is 45mm titanium on one side and 35mm titanium on the other. Works mint, reduces weight and helps stop busting the hanger off...........because there isn't one. Sorry about the brothelesque pictures. Scott Gibbs
Looks pretty neat that. Guess it would work on the effect too. Could you put some pics up that are in daylight?

Miles Mallinson
Cool, I 'am forever trying different was of tensioning my chain on my Effect, I did something similar but with a bit of old metal and a chainguide roller, them Ashton hangers are so bad aswell. Thats nicely tucked away.
Matt Vandart
The best bit is the fixed arm is hard up against the dropout so hitting it wont matter a toss and the sprung bit is above the chainstay pretty much.
Miles Mallinson
yeh that is a pretty good thing about ashtons that they have the dropouts up from the chainstay.

Rusevelt
Really neat and compact Can this potentiallly work with other stock frames with vertical dropouts, or does it solely depend on the design of the dropouts? Miles Mallinson
I had a go at making one for my Effect, not as sleek as Adams pic but it works and its pretty low profile. Edited January 26, 2011 by Milo123
