dannytrialskid
Right I done a real quick job of it, because I'm about to go and watch a film so I hope it's enough. You will see I left the inside of the rim black, I can make it white, I'll do it later or I'll miss my film Edited December 29, 2010 by dannytrialskid

Topsy
Is it possible to just exchange a colour without having to select it with the magic wand or something? I need to make a white background black. Sadly the white is a bit paller above and slowly get's a little darker towards the bottom of the pic. Stupidly enough there's also hair on it (alwas is tricky..) and a white shirt. And as my screen is a bit "used" it doesen't show the contrast between the white background and the shirt properly so I can't cut that out nicely by hand.. Need the pic to be finished latest tomorrow and was trying about 3 hours yesterday already. -.- (I'm a new user...) On the top of the picture the white background is R: 251 G: 249 B: 254 At the bottom of the pic it is R: 240 G: 237 B: 244 Where as the shirt (located at the bottom) is between R: 250 G: 252 B: 251 and R: 245 G: 242 B: 249 I guess cutting out the hair gets to a smaller problem that the shirt now... Would be cool if I could somehow change the colour that is R:? G:? B:? with a precision of, say, 5 to black or some other colour! Getting slightly bored with not getting any further with the pic. The new background is finished already etc.. Thx! PS, I'm not allowed to upload the pic.. Edited January 24, 2011 by Hopping_Topsy
Topsy
OR, if someone can tell me how to only change 1 exact colour it would be fine too like R:255 G:250 B:250 to R:0 G:0 B:0. Would be a pain to change all like that, but better than nothing..
RobinJI
Have you tried using the 'quick selection tool'? might do what you're after. I'm pretty sure this in my old version of PS (I think it was version 7) you could just go, select/colour then click on a certain colour and set a tolerance of how close colours it should select. My more current version wont do it though, or at least it's not in the same place in the menu.
Topsy
I'll have another go later I'm sure you can replace an exact colour. ..Somewhere..
Revolver
Is it possible to just exchange a colour without having to select it with the magic wand or something? I do believe it isn't. If you fiddle with the tolerance on magic wand, and deselect contiguous, then it will select all the exact colour everywhere in the picture. It's not what you're looking for. I recommend the pen tool for accurate selections.
