What's Up With My Brakes?

Blake

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I bought a second hand t pro at christmas and it's wonderful.

However there is a problem I have encountered, I had to pull the brakes back a bit to start, and now the front one has to come in almost the whole way before it stops. It's dual hs33 but the left lever is an echo SL and that seems much better. Maybe because I played with the little red thing on top of the brake?

They're bled with Phat Phluid and I'm going to ask my friend to bleed it again with royal blood but does anyone know what the problem is?

Cheers.

I'll try, however I don't know what the TPA is. . .

turbo pad adjuster it stands for, basically twist it up if he pads ware down in a ride etc and it pushes the pads forwards via the piston. but when turned up it doesnt move the pads evenly that's why your not meant to set it up with the tpa as well as the risk of the tpa breaking.

I know it might sound a bit daft but have you checked your brake?

'Cos if the mount bolts not tight then you have the same feeling.

(I've done it it before :S)

Daz.

I did have a tweak of my pads yesterday and I may of failed to do them up properly. I'll have a look again in the morning.
