PeanuckleJive
start riding some natural, it's a lot different to street. The best way to get an idea of what to ride for competitions is just to go to one and see how you do, You'll know after your first one what sorta things you need to work on, and you can do that

There is routes for all different levels such as beginner, novice, intermediate, expert and elite so it doesn't matter what level you are. I done my first comp recently and loved it! JD™
Have a vote for decent English and what not. It's already been hit right on the head in here though - practise natural and go to a comp. Natural is a hugely different beast to the nice perfect edges of the street, so don't be surprised if you feel like you've never ridden a bike before when you try it at first!
