hi lads

not really a 'new member' signed up years ago but hardly ever come on so dont know if someone could move this into 'bike pictures' forum?

anyway just quick post of my brand new Leeson660: Pics / Spec

Managed to persuade Clive to make me a new one! Almost everything is brand new and we took real care building it up to ensure everything is perfect and super smooth. It rides so nice absolutely love it!

I appreciate that this will probably laughed at as I know trials has moved on a lot in the past few years but we (trials-uk.com) are still riding Leesons and loving it more than ever! :D

cheers all!

hi guys

Cheers for the comments (Y)

trials-uk.com is a website I started back in 2001 - just a group of us in Cornwall nothing to do with the .co.uk shop.

the geo is the standard 660 (nice and short) :)

bought my first Leeson 660 in 2005 and stuck with it for 5 years, she finally gave up a few months ago (well big crack could be seen on the weld down on the chainstay).

Anyone whos dealt with Clive knows things can take a long time! :D but this time worked quite closely with him to deadlines (which he told his wife about so she was hassling him as well!) - all in all everything went really well the guy is a legend. He's done a fantastic job and quality of finish is top notch.

im not sure if he is wanting to build much now - i think it was more a favour as both myself and Ross who i ride with have been dealing with Clive for a long time but I may be wrong.

Hopefully now get some vids on the go :D

cheers all

cheers for the comments guys.

on the oversized handlebar comments sorry for being thick but are you reffering to the 31.8 or the big width?! if its the width i got rid of the azonics (albeit cut down to 28") and went bk to Eastons 27" feel much better on the bike. (Y)

Hey, I've seen some of your videos around looe and Minions, do you fancy riding there any time soon? maybe get a spot of filming done? :)

The trials-uk.co.uk shop has a bad rep, Not too sure about the .com riders website. I think they're two completely different things, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Yeah, completely un-related. These guys used to be absolute monsters back in the day - the Duality vid always used to get me in the mood for a ride!

Looks gorgeous though mate, something about Leesons... They're just right (hence why i've owned 3 haha)

Very pleased to see that there's another one been made, this is the 3rd or 4th i know has been done this year - all as favours to old friends as you've said, but brilliant to know he's still doing them. My dreams of a 2win disc 609 may still happen one day :P

Such clean lines for old skool, win (Y)Old school steel frames tend to have cleaner lines when compared to modern alu frames....

The only thing i would change is the stem and replace it with a Trialtech sport high riser. Why it would be totally unsuited to the geo of the frame and you can't beat a Thomson stem for coolness!
