chris4stars
id like to know if i should treat the metal to anything, spray it with anything to stop any rusting/corrosion or anything else that may happen?! if it matters, its the pedals ive done...and obviously they will be put through some abuse... N.Wood
Laquer it after stripping and cleaning to stop oxidization.
Matt Vandart
You can get a type of polish/wax, not sure what it is, dudes put it on their car gearboxes/wheels after they have been polished. Bit of an effort for some poxy pedals though.
Si-man
Pedals get abused from hitting them. All that will happen is they were get a white film on them if they are aluminium. A good polish after stripping will keep them shiny for at least a month. Mates engine covers on his bike I polished stayed mirror for about 2 months. chris4stars
cheers, im not wanting to keep them shiny or pristine....only wanting them to not corrode, they looked a mess with half the paint off so its already a huge improvement! think im going to just give them a decent clean then a laquer and maybe reapply every now and then, but for some other parts (half considering polishing an hs33 body) i'll go down that route
