Going 24"

Cant give any advice on how they ride as ive never ridden one, but one major disadvantage is you cant ride comps on 24's yet (i dont think?). I think because of the low BB on smaller wheels (than a 26) its easier to do manuals and things like that, which are decent for combining street lines and allways looks good :P

Im pretty sure Ali C and danny mac' have competed on inspireds (correct bike?) But i know that when you do compete they go into the 26" catorgoy(spelling?)

If you aren't aware of the pros & cons, why are you considering it exactly?

Not saying it isn't a viable option, they're great fun, but it seems like you're doing it for no real reason from your initial post :P

i do know some im just asking for more so i know exactly what im getting myself into :giggle:

Ok, but the answers will depend on you so a bit more info wouldn't hurt. Help people to help you!

Riding style? How tall are you? What do you currently ride? Where do you currently ride? What in particular were you considering getting? etc etc. (Y)

A 24" street frame or trials frame?

I do not realy know how to describe my riding style, Im 5 foot something, I ride an onza bird 2010, Im thinking a street frame maybe an onza zoot a second hand inspired.

Do you think:

1. You ride fast and smooth like not using your brakes as much as you need to.

Or

2. Do you just hop around like more static moves than taking a run up.

If you are the second one stick with Mod for a while and try to ride things faster and smoother. But if you already do ride this way go for a Zoot, its proberly your best option at the minute for a starter 24 inch bike, then you can upgrade it to how you like. (Y)

24" is also a good all round bike for everything, hoppy, more trials stuff and also the more flowy street stuff if you want to mix it up with some style. The Zoot is a good bike for getting into the 24" scene, good geometry for everything and is simple to maintain with its ffw and horizontal dropouts and simple v-brakes :)

not yet, just built up a hex with a front freewheel and grippy tyres for natural riding though.
