smithy83 Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) I cant seem to find the expanding nut your on about, do you have a link for it? also if i used the star nut would it fit ok in the steerer tube? as there's threads in it. m-part components make them,you should be able to find one through madison website.and yeh a starnut will go in there you will just have to get the smallest one tarty do even though i think i got a 1"nut in mine with no problems. i would send you a link but havent a clue how to do it just done a quick google search type in fork expander and there will be on a third way down page. AdamR28 Posted December 16, 2010 Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 No borat mark w told darryl that rockman forks are stronger than tt......clearly not I think that may have been taken out of context - Darren cracked some 4-Bolt Trialtech forks at the brake mounts, so he wanted some forks that were stronger in that area. The Rockman ones have that huge booster welded on, so naturally they are stronger at that point. Overall I would say the Trialtechs are stronger, especially with the updated brake mounts. Overall I would say the Trialtechs are stronger, especially with the updated brake mounts. yeh it has i think,mark did say because of where the tt forks cracked that the rockmans would be a stronger fork in the way of having that booster welded on so in the way of eliminating that problem again the rockmans would be stronger and more durable.i have no doubt that the tt forks are stronger around the crown area and now that the welding around bolt mounts has been revised they are a winner fork.im happy with the tt's ive got coming and know that i wont have any trouble with steerer snappages or cracking mounts Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
