p_ruskin
Right, so I tried the search bar numerous times and then realised its sh*t and doesn't give you what your looking for. So I have 2 sealed Hubs both with snapped axles (driveside) and i need to remove them, how would I go about this? I have replacement axles but obviously i cant fit them until i can get the old ones out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. LukasMcNeal
Remove the end covers if it has any, then tap the axle out using a rubber mallet or a block of wood and a hammer. Then the bearings and axle should drop out.
p_ruskin
I have tried using a hammer but it just doesn't seem to move one bit.
LukasMcNeal
In most cases you really have to hit it IMO.

p_ruskin
Got a new bit of wood and it dropped out after a while hammering, now i have it back in but say the bearings are x wide and the cup in the hub shell is x+3mm to accommodate the bearings and the thickness of the endcap i can only get the bearings right to the edge of the hubshell so the endcap sticks out, any solutions? rab shropshire
pics will help us massively with this problem, sometimes you have to tap the bearings in a little further on there own i normally use a spanner or socket the exact size of the bearing and hit it in
sstein
Put it in the frame< the frame will force it back in
