Jamie_Trials
Duel Disk - Works in all weather conditions, get modulation on most. Maggy - Works well only if you have a decent setup, no real modulation but its personal preference for weather you like it or not.

Hi, Thanks For the reply, i was going to go dual disc anyways really, but wasnt sure if a disc on the rear would have enough bite and grab for trials. Cheers. dann2707
You won't get hard bite with a disk like you would with a HS33 with decent pads on a grind. However you will have a nice smooth and quiet brake if you go duel disk, with alot of hold. Personally I'm not that of a fan of disk on the rear because I love bite as if gives me alot of confidence that the brakes working. p_ruskin
I'm really not a fan of disk, bent rotors and leaking brakes do my nut in, also I love to be able to hear my brake, it lets me know its working properly I'd say dual rim, either 2 Hs33s or rear Hs33 and front vee, both in my opinion are better than disk (as long as you have the correct setup)
Martin Reynolds
Most mod riders go for maggie on the rear, disk on the front. You still can get from a to b without annoying everyone, a decent disk is plenty on the front, and a decent setup maggie on the rear. You gotta remember, your going to be more prone to hitting/bending a disk on the rear sidehopping :/
Meakin122
Personally i think that you can't go wrong with a front disk and a rear rim brake. I use a Maggy Louise disk on the front and a HS33 on the back, gives me a very responsive brake set up.

onzaskull
If you have a decent grind and the right pads you cant go wrong with mags , Disk brakes in my opinion cost a lot and aren't really a worthwhile investment, no real bite and average hold, I also like to hear my brakes as it means you can really feel them working. I've had both and DD was horrid, Mags are defiantly the way to go.

DD is way better on a mod imo, I never bent a disc once on mine.
