Jon Alty
I broke my 170mm cranks (threads) so now using my 158mm mod cranks on my stock. Whats the difference in using the 158mms as opposed to the 170mms? I changed freewheel when i changed cranks so im unsure what difference the crank length has actually made, as i think any change in the feel of the bike might have been because of 1 extra tooth on my freewheel. Cheers for your help in advance. Jon.
Matt Vandart
Change your rear sproket to balance it out again.
SamKidney
id say 158s would be too short for a stock really, unless you like it. 170s give you more leverage for gaps, taps and general 'power moves'. So id imagine you could be using more effort, added with the slight increase in gearing means more effort too. Get some 170s back on
